SUBJECT: Appointment of Ange�a Hames to the Ciiy o�'Arden HiIls Planning
Commission
Back�round
Angela Hames has served on the Pianning Commission as an alternaie since March 2010. On
April 2S, 2011, the City Co�cil accepted the resignation of Liz Modesette from the City's
Planning Cammission. Commissioner Mode�ette's t�rm was set to end on December 31, 2011.
Mrs. Hames requested that she be considered for the vacant posiiion. Based upon a
recomrnendation from Staff; Councilmember Holznes; and Planning Comrnission Chair, Claytan
La�rson, Mayor Grani has nominated Mrs. Hames for the position.
If appointed, Commissioner Hames would fill Car�issioner Modesette's vacated seat, and be
up for reappaintment ai the end of this year. Planning Commission seat appointments are for
three years terms. Each Commissioner can serve up to three consecutive fe�ns.

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ANGELA IIAMES TO THE
PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City Council appoints residents to serve in an advisory capacity to the
City Council regarding development issues;
THEREF�RE, BE IT RESOLVED: The City Council appoints Angela Hames to fill
Liz Modesefte's vacated Pianning Commission seat until December 31, 2011.
