"THE ARDEN HILLS HUMAN RTGHTS COMMISSION was established by �he Counc�l �n
°=M�y 9. The presen membershfp includes Jerry Was�.ey, Chairman; Fred
': ��a,3.ley, Marcey Hagel, Ulysses Ho�1.ey, Hugh McLeod, Li7,�.ian Michael, Joe
. Nor�h, and Chris Peterson. Act�vit�es aver the pa�� 22 years have �ncZuded
a vary3.ng.pa�tern of educa�ion and commun��y ac�ion actieiti.es, such as
Pe�sp�c�ives '70, a series of ineet�.ngs in adult education, stud�es of human
,� rela'�ions programs in our schools, work with Bethel College s�uden�cs in.�er-
ested �.n develaping summ�r service programs on �nd3an reserva�ions, and the
recent workshop on Education Toward Humani�a�ion. Current projects incl.ude
work on the develo.pment of a Commun��y Profil� for po�en�ia7. residents and
a rev�.ew of proposed programs rela��.ng to hu�nan righ�s �o be presen'�eci to
the com�,ng �.egisla�iv� session. In '�he long run, the Commission hopes �o
develop a sense of communi'�y and an apprecia�ion.for h�man relations among
