disc�ssian the Co►�nc�i7. taok action to approve the imprpvement, iuenti�ied as Water
�n�roveznent Nfl. 7�.-1, and directed the Village Engineer to prepare p�ans and
specif�cations.
The Village Engineer reported �hat Ramse}► County has proposed the follow�ng raac! main-
tenance �r�jects in the Vill�ge:
1. Asphalt aver�ay suzface an County Road F f�om �ld Highway }.0 to the
35W averpass.
2. Seal coa�ing on County lZoad D from New Brighton Rd, to C1evela�u Ave.
I�. t�ohert Nethercut was present ta exp�air� �kee advisory reZationship of the Metropolitan_
Council with the subUxbs ancl to request a c�nser �iaison between Arc'sen Hills and the
Metro Counci�, �he Covncil requested Councilman Hallenhorst and i�Ir. Nethercut to schedule
a meeting of the Arden Hil�.s Plaaning Commission and representatives of the Metiro Council.
A sub-committee to study the proposed State,:Hi hwa pe artment lans for [he intersection
of HiQhway 5I, Haml�,ne and 5nellin� Aves. was authorzzed. Mr. Maurice Johnsan, member of
The Planni,ng Commission, is to be �ttairman and�he will select other co�,ittee members,

T�e�eouncii reviewed the 197k wage rate progasal for i'ublic Workd f3nion 49 employees and
approve�i a$60 per month wage increase retroactive to January 1, 1471. The new rates for.

steering cammittee tia study tne rate proposai and agreed.�o consider suggestions hased
on such a s�udy.
5. A petition from residents was presented requesCing the permanent dead-endin� o€ the
5nellin Ave. service raad wh�.ch runs from Arden Place to County Rd. E. The proposed
dead�-end would be at the County Rd. E end. After ciscussion, tkte request was referred
to the Public Works Coirunittee for study.
6. Sev�ral inquiries have been.received regarding the I.ega�ity of depositing lea�es and
grass clippings on private property if the praperty owner has given permissian to do so,
Attorney Courtney's o.pinion was that if permission from owner is abtained and �f the
