RESOLUTION NO. 2011-051
ABATEMENT OF A NUISANCE at 1976 GLEN PAUL AVENUE
WHEREAS, James Morrissette is the property owner of the following described property:
Address: 1976 Glen Paul Avenue
PID: 333023330071
Legal Description: Dalsoren Addition W 10 46/100 ft of Lot 2, Block 2
WHEREAS, notice therefore was posted on said property and sent certified mail to the property
owner pursuant to City Regulations; and,
WHEREAS, this abatement was initiated pursuant to the City of Arden Hills Municipal Code;
and,
WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council held a hearing on October 24, 2011. All persons
present at said meeting were given an opportunity to be heard and present written statements.
The Council also considered the recommendation of the City Staff that this abatement be
approved; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL
hereby adopts Resolution 2011 -051, ordering the abatement of the accumulation of any debris or
garbage that does not comply with City regulations at 1976 Glen Paul Avenue, and to charge the
property owner for the full cost of abatement, plus an administrative fee in the amount of $125.
The City Administrator is authorized to monitor the property through October 24, 2013; and to
abate any accumulation of debris or garbage that does not comply with City regulations, and to
charge to the property owner for each subsequent abatement, the full cost of the abatement, plus
an administrative fee in the amount of $125; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, In the event that the property owner does not pay any portion
of the charges, that the unpaid amount shall be assessed against the Property, to be collected with
the real estate taxes in the year in which this Resolution is recorded, together with an Affidavit of
Cost incurred, and that any assessments levied pursuant to this Resolution shall bear interest at
the rate of 4.5% per annum from the date of recording until December 31St of the year in which
the special assessment is paid in full.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 24th
DAY OF OCTOBER, 2011.
