Resolution 2011-058. � EN HILLS MEMORANDUM DATE: December 12, 2011 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members Patrick Klaers, City Administrator FROM: Sue Iverson, Finance Director of Finance and Administrative Services SUBJECT: Adoption of the 2012 City Contribution for Employee Benefits Background Each year in December, the City sets the monthly contribution rate for employee benefits for the next year. Discussion As part of the annual budget and levy adoption process, the Council is also asked to approve the 2012 City contribution for employee benefits. The City contribution rate is currently set by increasing the current contribution by 50% of the increase in premiums for the next year of the HSA plan. The employee contribution rate of $697.42 per month per employee for 2012 has been calculated into the proposed 2012 budget as discussed at previous Council worksessions. (For reference, the 2010 & 2011 rate was $680.21 per month per employee, the increase is $17.21 per month) Council Action Motion to adopt Resolution 2011-058, a Resolution setting the City Contribution to Employee Monthly Benefits at the amount of $697.42 per month, per employee (provided they participate in the HSA plan or have family coverage, single coverage amount only if they participate in the Co-Pay Plan). City Council Meeting P:�Admin\Council�Agendas & Packet Information�2011\12-12-11 Regular�Packet Information�2,012 City Benefit Contribution.doc Page 1 of 1 �75, EN HILLS CITY OF ARDEN HILLS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2011-058 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2012 CITY CONTRIBUTION TO EMPLOYEE MONTHLY BENEFITS WHEREAS, the City Council of Arden Hills does hereby approve the contribution of six hundred ninety-seven dollars and forty-two cents ($697.42) per month, per employee toward bargaining unit employees benefits; WHEREAS, the City Council of Arden Hills does hereby approve the contribution of six hundred ninety-seven dollars and forty-two cents ($697.42) per month, per employee toward non-bargaining unit employees benefits provided they participate in the City's HSA plan; WHEREAS, the City Council of Arden Hills does hereby approve the contribution of 100% single coverage or six hundred ninety-seven dollars and forty-two cents ($697.42) per month for family coverage, per employee toward non-bargaining unit employee benefits provided they participate in the City's Co-Pay plan; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Arden Hills does hereby approve the contribution toward bargaining and non-bargaining unit employee benefits as stated above.
