RESOLUTION NO. 2012-007
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PRECINCTS AND DESIGNATING POLLING
PLACES FOR THE 2012 STATE PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, legislative redistricting was completed by the special redistricting panel on
February 21, 2012, as required by Minnesota Statutes 20413.14, subd la; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 20413.14, subd 3(d) requires the City Council, by
ordinance or resolution, to establish precincts after the legislature has been redistricted no later
than 19 weeks before the upcoming state primary; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 20413.16 Subd. 3 requires polling place changes to be
made at least ninety (90) days prior to the state primary; and
WHEREAS, the state primary is August 14, 2012 and the state general election is
November 6, 2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills City Council hereby
designates the following precincts and polling places:
Precinct No. 1 comprises the portion of the City of Arden Hills located south of the CP Rail
railroad tracks.
Precinct No. 2 comprises the portion of the City of Arden Hills that is located between Interstate
Highway 694 on the north and the CP Rail railroad tracks on the south.
Precinct No. 3 comprises the portion of the City of Arden Hills that is located north of Interstate
Highway 694.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the polling places be located as follows:
Precinct No. 1 Presbyterian Church of the Way 3382 Lexington Ave N.
Precinct No. 2 Valentine Hills Elementary School 1770 County Rd E2 W
Precinct No. 3 Ramsey County Public Works Facility 1425 Paul Kirkwold Dr
