SUBJECT: Resignation of Lois Rem from the Arden Hills City Council
Background
Due to the resignation of Councilmember Lois Rem, City staff has created a resolution declaring
a vacancy on the City Council and directing staff to begin recruitment efforts to fill the vacant
position.
For your review please find attached a proposed recruitment time line for the open City Council

RESOLUTION NO. 05-65
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING RESIGNATION, DECLARING VACANCY ON THE
ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Council Member Lois Rem has submitted her resignation as a member of
the Arden Hills City Council to be effective the 31St day of December, 2005; and
WHEREAS, on November 28, 2005 the Arden Hills City Council received and accepted
Council Member Lois Rem's letter of resignation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills City Council hereby
declares a vacancy effective on the 31" day of December, 2005 in the Council seat held by
Council Member Lois Rem and directs that such such vacancy shall be filled for the remainder of
Council Member Lois Rem's term by appointment of the City Council.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS
5th DAY OF DECEMBER,2005.
