This is an opportunity to recognize the efforts put forth by our Public Works staff in maintaining the City infrastructure consisting of sanitary sewer, water, storm sewer, streets, trails, parks and public buildings. The daily efforts by these dedicated employees enhance the health, safety and quality of life for all our residents. The Public Works staff is made up of the following employees together with their years of service to the City of Arden Hills: • Joe Mooney, Superintendent 26 Years • Dave Winkel 34 Years • Mike Schifsky 32 Years • Pete Saxe 22 Years • Scott Freyberger 13 Years • Tony Nowlan 6 Years • Jeff Frid 6 Years • Max Arvidson 2 Years • Thomas Mikacevich 1 Year Council Action Requested Adoption of Resolution 2012-010 Recognizing National Public Works Week: May 20- 26, 2012. City Council Meeting P:\Admin\Council\Agendas&Packet Information\2012\05-14-12 Reg Mtg\Packet Information\Public Works.doc Page 1 of 1 It EN HILLS CITY OF ARDEN HILLS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2012-010 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK: MAY 20-26,2012 WHEREAS, public works services provided in our community are an integral part of our citizens everyday lives; and WHEREAS,the support of an understanding and informed citizenry is vital to the efficient operations of public works systems and programs such as water, sewers, streets and highways,and public buildings; and WHEREAS, the health, safety and comfort of this community greatly depend on these facilities and services; and WHEREAS, the efficiency of the qualified and dedicated personnel who staff the Public Works Department are materially influenced by the people's attitude and understanding of the importance of the work they perform. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota that the City proclaims the week of May 20 to 26 as"National Public Works Week"in the City of Arden Hills. All citizens and civic organizations are called upon to recognize the contributions which the Public Works Department makes every day to our health, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
