Attachment C -Ordinance 2012-010 Publication Summary. �- IZEN�HILLS MEMORANDUM DATE: December 10, 2012 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members Patrick Klaers, City Administrator FROM: Amy Died, Deputy Clerk SUBJECT: 2013 Fee Schedule Backl4round The City Council annually establishes a fee schedule for administrative, building construction, liquor licensing, copying of maps and ordinances, park and recreation facility usage, planning and zoning, utilities, business licenses, false alarms, utility fees, and other miscellaneous permits and penalties that are enforced by the City. The Council reviewed the proposed changes to the 2013 Fee Schedule at their October 15, 2012, Council work session. During that meeting, the consensus among the Council, in addition to the changes proposed by staff, was to raise fees by five percent to cover increased costs for providing services. The proposed changes discussed at the October 15, 2012, Council work session have been incorporated in the attached ordinance. At the time of the October 15, 2012, Council work session, the proposed changes to the 2013 Fee Schedule did not include any adjustments to the utility rates as those charges (i.e. water rates) were scheduled to be discussed at the November 19, 2012, Council work session. The Council did not reach a decision on what to do with water rates at the November 19, 2012, work session and the issue was continued to this December 10th City Council meeting. The FPAC met on December 4, 2012, and their recommendation on rates is to be considered at tonight's meeting prior to adopting the 2013 Fee Schedule and will determine whether or not additional amendments to the fee schedule are required.
