SUBJECT: 2013 Tobacco License Renewals
Background
The following Arden Hills businesses have requested renewal of their City tobacco
licenses for 2013:
Arden Hills Shell
Arden Hills Tobacco
Big Ten
Blue Fox Inn
Cub Foods
Holiday Station
Walgreens
Fire inspection reports have been completed for each location, and the City has received
the required application forms and Certificates of Insurance. All seven of these
businesses are pending approval based upon successful background checks; which the
Ramsey County Sheriff's Department hopes to have completed by Monday, December
10, 2012.
The Ramsey County Sheriff conducted compliance checks on all licensed tobacco
establishments on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, and all the tobacco venders passed the
compliance checks performed at that time.
Requested Action
Motion by the City Council to approve the 2013 tobacco license renewals.
