SUBJECT: Lift Station #13 Final Payment "1�l
Background
The City of Arden Hills awarded Lift Station#13 Reconstruction to Minger Construction,
Inc., on January 30, 2012, in the amount of$194,250.00.
Discussion
The base bid included a$10,000 construction allowance to be used at the discretion of the
Engineer/City. Portions of the allowance were used for the landscaping requested by the
adjacent property owner, installation of bollards and a couple of other minor items. The
allowance not used was $2,322.60, meaning the final construction cost is $191,927.40.
Subtracting previous payments and releasing all retainage results in a final payment to
Minger Construction of$15,548.50. Minger has submitted all the necessary paperwork
for the final payment and Seth Peterson of Bolton and Menk, the project engineer, has
reviewed the work and final paperwork and has recommended payment.
Council Action Requested
Approve Final Payment Request #3 to Minger Construction, Inc, in the amount of
$15,548.50 for the Lift Station#13 Reconstruction Improvements.

Enclosed are three copies of the final pay request, Pay Request No. 3 from Minger Construction,
Inc. for the work completed on the above-referenced project.
We have reviewed this estimate and recommend payment to Minger Construction, Inc. in the
amount of$15,548.50.
The original bid price for the project was $194,250 and the final project price was$191,927.40
which equates to a savings of$2,322.60.
Please send an approved copy of the pay request to Minger Construction, Inc. and return one
copy to me.
