SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
FEBRUARY 4, 2013
6:00 PM
ARDEN HILLS COMMUNITY ROOM
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor David Grant called to order the special City
Council meeting at 6:00 p.m.
Present: Mayor David Grant; Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, Dave
McClung, and Ed Werner
Absent: None
Also present: City Administrator Patrick Klaers
1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a
motion to approve the meeting agenda as presented. The motion carried
unanimously (5-0).
2. AGENDA ITEMS
A. Joint Development Authority (JDA) Board Interviews
The City Council met in a special City Council meeting for the purpose of conducting Joint
Development Authority(JDA) interviews.
The interview schedule was as follows:
David Sand 6:05 p.m.
James Ostlund 6:55 p.m.
Clayton Larson 7:45 p.m.
Ed von Holtum 8:35 p.m.

The last interview concluded at 9:20 p.m., at which time, the City Council discussed the results of
all four interviews.
The consensus among the Council was to appoint David Sand to the Joint Development Authority
at the regular Council meeting on Monday, February 11, 2013. The two Council appointments to
the JDA will also be made at the February 11, 2013, meeting.
ADJOURN
MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Werner seconded a motion to
adjourn. The motion carried unanimously (5-0).
Mayor Grant adjourned the special City Council meeting at 9:50 p.m.
