CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING
MAY 20, 2013
5:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS COUNCIL CHAMBERS
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Grant called to order the City Council work
session meeting at 5:23 p.m.
Present: Mayor David Grant; Councilmembers Fran Holmes and Ed Werner
Absent: Councilmembers Brenda Holden (excused) and Dave McClung (excused)
Also present: City Administrator Patrick Klaers; Director of Finance and Administrative
Services Sue Iverson; and Community Development Director Jill Hutmacher
1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The Council accepted the agenda as presented.
2. AGENDA ITEMS
A. Respectful Workplace Training
The City Council and Staff Directors participated in Respectful Workplace training with Sheila
Krejci of Sheila K Consulting, Inc. The City Council and Staff Directors discussed the individual
and group results of the "Everything DiSC Workplace"profiles that they completed.
Ms. Krejci is also a consultant with the League of Minnesota Cities and has worked with
Councils and city staff throughout the State. This training assists in understanding individual
behaviors, developing positive working relationships, and fostering a healthy workplace
environment.
