SUBJECT: TCAAP/Stadium Proposal Update
The City met with representatives of the Metropolitan Council, Metropolitan Sports
Commission, and Kimley-Horn and Associates on Tuesday, September 20. The Metropolitan
Council is working on the review of the stadium proposal requested by Governor Dayton.
Discussion topics included transportation improvements, the land use approval process, public
infrastructure and utility improvements, and a review of required permits. Based upon the
September 20 meeting and a subsequent follow-up conference call, the Metropolitan Council is
compiling a detailed report that covers every aspect of potential development on the 260-acre
• stadium site and the 170-acre private development area. The report is tentatively scheduled to be
completed on October 15.
