SUBJECT: TCAAP Update
The Ramsey County League of Local Governments (RCLLG) held its April meeting in Arden
Hills. The topic was the past, present, and future of TCAAP. A bus tour, led by Mike Fix, US
Army Commander's Representative, was offered prior to the meeting. The meeting included a
presentation on the history of TCAAP, previous development proposals, environmental
conditions, and the status of the current purchase agreement between Ramsey County and the
General Services Administration. Speakers included Mike Fix; Greg Mack, Ramsey County
Director of Parks and Recreation; City Planner Meagan Beekman; and Community Development
Director Jill Hutmacher.
Because the Star Tribune published an article on the meeting in the Sunday, April 22 newspaper,
several members of the public from Arden Hills and surrounding communities attended the
meeting, as well as members of the RCLLG. Over 50 people participated in the tour and
attended the meeting.
The meeting and presentation was filmed for later broadcast on Channel 16 and will be available
via webstream on the City's website.
