'It EN HILLS MEMORANDUM DATE: April 30, 2012 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilme rs FROM: Patrick Klaers, City Administrator SUBJECT: Appointment of Miriam Ward to the Northwest Youth & Family Services Background/Discussion The City Council decided to advertise for a volunteer from the community to represent the City on the Northwest Youth & Family Services Board. In this regard, Miriam Ward submitted an application and met with Councilmember Holden to discuss the position and organization. Councilmember Holden has been the City Council's representative on the Board. Following this discussion with Councilmember Holden, Miriam met with Jerry Hromatka, NYFS President and CEO, to talk about the Board, the appointment process and the organization. In mid April Jerry advised me that the Board had talked action to appoint Miriam Ward to the Board as the City representative. At this time, it is appropriate for the City Council to appoint Miriam Ward to the NYFS Board as the City representative. Attached is the application from Miriam Ward.
