Listirtg of committees and commissions membership, terms, and vacancies. � • � EN HILLS MEMORANDUM DATE: January 10, 2011 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers Patrick Klaers City Administrator FROM: Rebecca Brazys, Deputy Clerk Sue Iverson, Director of Finance and Administrative Services SUBJECT: Commission and Committee Appointments — Resolution 2011-002 Bacic�round In March 2007, the City Council approved an ordinance amendment setting three year � staggered terms for the members of the various commissions and committees (Section 220 and its subdivisions of the City Code). At the beginning of 2008, each member of the committees and commissions was assigned an expiration date for their term in order to implement the three year staggered term system. As part of that ordinance change, it is no longer necessary to annually appoint all members of each commission and committee. Therefore, Resolution 2011-002 only lists new appointees and reappointments of existing members. The term expiration date is tisted after each member's name. Planning Commission Roberta Thompson and Samuel Scott are current members whose terms expired December 31, 2010. They have both requested reappointment. Economic Development Commission There are no current members whose terms expired December 31, 2010. Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee John Peck, Harold Petersen and Rich Straumann are current members whose terms expired December 31, 2010 and they requested reappointment. After going through the application review process, the PTRC Chair, Council liaison, and staff liaison are recommending appointment of Philip Kramlinger and Charles Michaelson to the PTRC. Copies of their applications are attached. Mr. Michaelson has chosen a vacant one-year term and Mr. Kramlinger has chosen a vacant two year term. � R Financial Planning and Analysis Committee . Arlene Mitchell is a current member whase term expired December 31, 2010 and she has reqnested reappointment. Communications Committee Dorothy McClung's term expired December 31, 2010 but she is not requesting reappointment.
