TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers
FROM: Jill Hutmacher, Community Development Director
SUBJECT: TCAAP and Stadium Proposal
Ramsey County continues to work with the Minnesota Vikings on a deal to develop a stadium on
the TCAAP site. It has been reported that a deal is imminent, and the County, legislative leaders,
and the team are discussing funding for transportation improvements.
Hennepin County has publicly stated that they will not be pursuing a stadium proposal. The
City of Minneapolis prefers that a new stadium be developed on the existing Metrodome site.
The legislative session ends at midnight on Monday, May 23.
