Moore, Parks & Recreation Director FROM: Michelle Olson, Program Supervisor SUBJECT: Fall 2002 Program Report Summary Attached you will find the 2002 Fall Program Report for the Recreation Department. We had a very successful season! If you have any questions, please let me know. Summary • We offered 40 programs, which is the same as in 2001. Of those 40 classes, 10 were cancelled due to low enrollment. • We had 549 participants enrolled in our programs, down 7 from 2001. • • We started a new girls soccer league for 3rd-4th grade and 51h-61h grade. The 3rd-4th grade league was a huge success. We had 50 participants which made four teams. • Our dance numbers remained steady from last year. However, the loss of the Army Reserve Center after the September 1 lth tragedy has downsized this program significantly. • 0 Island Lake 64ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Mounds View Public Schools r January 8, 2002 Gary W.Peterson Principal Mr. Tom Moore City of Arden Hills 1245 West Highway 96 Arden Hills, MN 55112 Dear Mr. Moore, Thank you for waiving the fee for Robins Mdoka to take the After School Art class here at our school. Robins is new to our school, as his family moved to Arden Hills this past Fall. Although Robins is only in first grade, his teacher sees him as having the talent of a gifted art student. • I sincerely appreciate our working relationship with the city of Arden Hills in making enrichment programs available to our students. By waiving the fee for Robins,he is able to take his first formal art class. This class is giving him enormous satisfaction. Thank you for your help with this.
