AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6,
SUBSECTION 620.05, OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE
REGARDING ALARM SYSTEMS AND USER FEES; NOTICES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6 Nuisances and Offenses, Section 620 Offenses, Subsection 620.05
Alarm Systems, Subdivision 5 User Fees; Notices, subparagraph B., is hereby amended by adding the
underlined language as follows:

Q 620.05 Alarm Systems.
Subd. 5 User Fees; Notice.
B. Upon receipt of a third and all subsequent false alarm reports as to an alarm system, the
city administrator shall notify the alarm user and property owner (if different than the alarm user) by
certified mail that the threshold number of false alarms has occurred and that the applicable user fee
specified has become due and owing. The user fees shall be established from time to time by Council
resolution.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
publication according to law.
