Discussion of marketing name for TCAAP — Rice Creek Commons
Administrative Director Worthington presented information to the JDA regarding the marketing
of TCAAP as Rice Creek Commons.
Lee Krueger, St. Paul Port Authority, further explained why "Rice Creek Commons" was chosen
to market the TCAAP site. He stated there was a great deal of local interest in the site, and
some national. He indicated the name was selected to remove the negative connotation
associated with the previous ammunition plant.
Discussion ensued regarding the marketing name for TCAAP.
Administrative Director Worthington asked if the JDA wanted to take action on the marketing
name for TCAAP.
Motion of Commissioner Grant, seconded by Commissioner Ortega, to adopt Rice Creek
Commons as the working name for TCAAP for use by the JDA, the greater MSP, St. Paul Port
Authority, and other public entities or consultants for developing and marketing purposes while
excluding legal documents.
October 3111 Design Guidelines Charrette —Verbal Report
Administrative Director Worthington explained there would be a design charrette on October
31st at 7:30 a.m. with the Kimley Horn team at the Public Works building in the Marsden Room.
It was noted design guidelines for public infrastructure and the spine road would be discussed.
She encouraged the JDA members to attend.
November/December Meeting Schedules:
1. 11/3/14 start time 5:00 p.m.
2. 12/1/14 start time 5:30 p.m.
3. Work Session proposed for 11/13/14 at 5:30 p.m.
Development Director Hutmacher reviewed the upcoming meeting schedule with the JDA
members. She noted the Arden Hills Council was tentatively set to meet in worksession on
November 3rd at 6:30 p.m.
Administrative Director Worthington suggested the December 152 meeting be moved to 5:00
p.m. so as not to conflict with the County's TNT meeting time.
Update on Red River Project—Verbal Report
Administrative Director Worthington explained Red River was proceeding with the purchase
agreement. Further information on this project would be available for the JDA in the coming
weeks.
Development Director's Report
Development Director Hutmacher reviewed her report and upcoming meeting schedule with
the JDA.

Administrative Director Worthington presented the September activity report.
Commissioner Updates
Commissioner Holden discussed the Energy Resilience Advisory Board's recent meeting.
Future Meeting Schedule
The next meeting will be Monday, November 3, 2014, at Arden Hills City Hall.
Meeting adjourned to worksession at 6:22 pm.
