RESOLUTION NO. 2017-022
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE 2018 STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 2017-012 of the Council adopted April 24, 2017, a
report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to the improvement of the
following streets:
Floral Drive from Hamline Avenue to approximately 200-feet west of Norma Circle
Norma Circle from Floral Drive to cul-de-sac
Gale Circle from Floral Drive to cul-de-sac
James Circle from Floral Drive to cul-de-sac
Indian Oaks Trail from Hamline Avenue to cul-de-sac
Indian Oaks Court from James Avenue to cul-de-sac
Wedgewood Circle from Old Highway 10 to cul-de-sac
Brueberry Lane from Old Highway 10 to Parkshore Drive
Parkshore Drive from Old Highway 10 to cul-de-sac
and this report was received by the Council on August 14, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in
connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as
recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for
affected parcels.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARDEN
HILLS MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the
report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the
improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost
of the improvement of$3,301,192.51.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 25th day of
September, 2017, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 7:00 p.m. and the City
Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and
improvement as required by law.
