A. Review of Health Insurance Renewal Options Finance Director Bauman went through the renewal packet with the Committee members. PEIP
was the least expensive option and a lot of the discussion was on that plan. One of the items that
needs to be decided is if the City went with PEIP, would they offer all three plans (Advantage,
Value and HSA) or just one of them. Need to follow up on what clinics are available to the
employee that lives in Wisconsin. Started discussion on City contribution and what the options
were. Need to arrive at something that is fair for both the employee and the City. The Committee
members wanted more time to review all the information they received and set a follow up
meeting for Monday, October 29, 2018 at 4 pm. The Committee didn’t feel comfortable making a recommendation regarding the wage part of the
Compensation Study, they only want to deal with the benefit side. Suggested that maybe the
consultant come back and make a presentation to the Council if staff can’t do it. Not sure if any
changes need to be made as wages were looked at 2-3 years ago and nothing significant came up
in this study. 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
5. COMMITTEE COMMENTS
6. ADJOURNMENT
