CITY OF ARDEN HILLS

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4,
SECTION 420.01, SUBD. 6 OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE
REGARDING NUMBER OF DOGS/CATS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 4 Animals and Pets, Section 420.01 Regulations, Subsection 6.
Number of Dogs/Cats, is hereby amended by adding the underlined language as follows:
Chapter 4 — Animals and Pets
Section 420.01— Regulations
Subd. 6 Number of Dogs/Cats.
No person shall keep more than three (3) dogs or three (3) cats on residentially zoned
property. The total number of combined licensed animals per residentially zoned property shall not
exceed four (4). Up to four (4) domestic animals are permitted in any dwelling unit, but without a
residential dog kennel license not more than two (2) may be dogs. Up to three (3) dogs are allowed
with a residential dog kennel license. Doiz enclosures may be located only in a rear yard in all zoning
districts.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
publication according to law.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 25`h day of February, 2019, by the City Council of the City
of Arden Hills, Minnesota.
