AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13, ZONING CODE
SECTION 1305—RULES, SCOPE,INTERPRETATION,&
DEFINITIONS, OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 13 —Zoning Code, Section 1305 —Rules, Scope, Interpretation, &
Definitions, subsection 1305.04 Definitions, is hereby amended as follows:
- Floor area. Means the sum of the horizontal area of all floors of a
building measured from the exterior faces of the exterior walls, or from the
centerline of walls separating two buildings, Excluding: decks, garages, covered
porches conforming with Section 1325.03 Subd 2.1); attics, crawl spaces and
basements that do not meet the minimum ceiling height per Minnesota State
Building Code requirements.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
publication according to law.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 24th day of June, 2019, by the City Council of the City
of Arden Hills, Minnesota.
