RESOLUTION NO. 2020-043
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO MnDOT METRO
STANDALONE NOISE BARRIER PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation(MnDOT) 2016 Metro District
Highway Noise Abatement Study identifies a section of potential noise wall along the west side of
Trunk Highway 10 between County Road 96 and south of Wedgewood Court; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT Metro District has updated the Standalone Noise Barrier program
to a solicitation-based process, where cities submit applications to be considered for noise wall
funding; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT is currently seeking applications for potential noise wall projects in
fiscal year 2025; and
WHEREAS,the City Council has determined that an application for the above references
section of Trunk Highway 10 should be submitted to MnDOT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden
Hills,Minnesota,that the City Council hereby authorizes the submittal of the 2020 Application for
MnDOT Metro Standalone Noise Barrier program for said segment of Trunk Highway 10 as
provided in Attachment A.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS
