HomeMy WebLinkAbout2021-006 -ARZEN HILLS CITY OF ARDEN HILLS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2021-006 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has prepared plans and specifications for Improvement Project No. PW-20-0103, Hamline Avenue and Shorewood Drive Improvement Project, for installation of pedestrian crosswalk improvements along Hamline Avenue and construction of drainage improvements along Shorewood Drive. The plans and specifications have been presented to the council for approval. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisements shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that the bids will be received by the clerk until 10:00 a.m. on March 17, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened in the council chambers of the city hall by the City Clerk, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at 7:00 p.m.on March 22, 2021, in the council chambers of the city hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during the consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the city for five (5)percent of the amount of such bid.
