RESOLUTION NO.2021-021
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR THE 2021 PMP STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2021 PMP Street and Utility
Improvement Project, the improvement of Glenpaul Avenue, Edgewater Avenue, Jerrold Avenue, and
Prior Avenue, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to the law, and the following bids
were received complying with the advertisement:
C&L Excavating, Inc.
T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc.
Kuechle Underground, Inc.
Northwest Asphalt, Inc.
Meyer Contracting, Inc.
Veit & Company, Inc.
Park Construction Company
RL Larson Excavating, Inc.
Geislinger & Sons
Northdale Construction Company, Inc.
Forest Lake Contracting, Inc.
and;

WHEREAS, C&L Excavating, Inc. of St. Joseph, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARDEN HILLS,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract
with C&L Excavating, Inc. of St. Joseph, Minnesota in the name of the City of Arden Hills for the
2021 Street and Utility Improvement Project according to the plans and specifications therefor
approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits
made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder
shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 12TH
DAY OF APRIL, 2021.
