HomeMy WebLinkAbout2021-061 It AI EENfHILLS CITY OF ARDEN HILLS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2021-061 RESOLUTION APPROVING A MINOR SUBDIVISION FOR 3300 NEW BRIGHTON ROAD AND 1893 BECKMAN AVENUE WHEREAS, City Staff received a complete land use application for a Minor Subdivision request on August 16, 2021, from Jill and Greg Casmey ("Applicants"), for review of a Minor Subdivision to adjust the property line between 3300 New Brighton Road ("Subject Property A") and 1893 Beckman Avenue ("Subject Property B") that would involve adding 796 square feet, excluding right-of-way, to Subject Property A, as depicted on the attached Exhibit"A"; and WHEREAS, on September 7, 2021, the Applicants submitted to the City a waiver of the 60-day period requesting to extend the time period for Planning Commission and City Council review of the land use application. WHEREAS, both the Subject Property A and B with the lot line adjustment are conforming lots that meet the R-2 Single and Two Family Residential District standards for minimum lot width, length, and area requirements; and WHEREAS, the City Council directed Staff to prepare a Land Use Application Public Policy Notification to notify all property owners within 1000 feet of Subject Property when a request for the Planning Commission is to occur related to a land use application that does require a public hearing; and WHEREAS, the City's obligation has been met where the Arden Hills Planning Commission duly held a hearing on October 6t', 2021. All persons present at said meeting were given an opportunity to be heard and present written statements; WHEREAS,the proposed Minor Subdivision shall conform to all requirements of the City Code of Ordinances,which the Planning Commission has specifically made such division subject to at its meeting at which the application for the division or consolidation is submitted; and WHEREAS the Planning Commission considered the findings of fact provided by the City Staff and, as such voted 5-0 in favor of the request; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of Arden Hills approves the Minor Subdivision for 3300 New Brighton Road and 1893 Beckman Avenue, dated October 25, 2021 subject to the following condition: 1) Monument stakes shall be installed to demarcate the property lines adjusted between Property A and Property B. ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 25TH DAY OF OCTOBER,2021.
