Minutes of Regular Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting Village of Arden Hills Tuesday , October 9 , 1984 - 7 : 30 p .m . Village Hall Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7 :40 p . m. Roll Call Present D . Sand , A. Anderson , G . Dreyling , D. Kostishack , M . Gillies , D. Messerly , J . Otto , T . Sather, M . Wild Absent - D . Klick , K. Enrooth , M . Peterson Also Present - Parks Director J . Buckley , Mayor R. Woodburn , Councilmember T . Mulcahy Approval of Minutes Motion was made by J . Otto , seconded by Anderson , that the minutes of September 18, 1984 be approved. The motion carried unanimously. Council Report T . Mulcahy briefly informed the Committee of the following : • - It is hoped that the designated Arden Oaks Park area can be graded by October 15th and dormant seeding completed in late November. Buckley reviewed Arden Oaks Park Development Schedule ( 10 year Guidelines for Park Development ) with Parks Committee - Arden Oaks Park received High Priority . Grading and landscaping was scheduled for 1984 . Playground equipment and additional landscaping schedule for 1985 . The delay in removing the excess dirt has delayed the development one year. If the site grading and seeding is completed this fall , play equipment could be installed in late summer of 1985 However, the play equipment was budgeted for 1986 . - Roseville requested our support for a regional speed skating facility . The Council passed a resolution for their request . - Arden Hills is having the leaf composting again this year . - Arden Hills soccer team was honored with trophies . - The Council approved the 1985 Budget . - Offices to be filled in Arden Hills Election this year : Mayor for a two year term, two four-year councilmembers , seats currently held by T. Mulcahy and K. Rauenhorst ; and one two-year councilmember seat , currently held by N . Hansen who was appointed on August 20 . • - Mulcahy went on to say that incumbent Mayor Woodburn is the only one that filed for the office of Mayor. R. Sather, that the meeting be adjourned . The motion passed unanimously .
