• Bussard Development
A. Anderson reported that Committee members A. Anderson , B..
Sch iot9 haver, D. Kosti shack, C. Grudnaske , J . Gebhard , Parks
Director Buckley and Councilman Crichton did bulk over the Bussard
•
Property and the site of the proposed park, south of Round Lake.
The comprehensive plan states that approximately an eight acre
park site would be needed for their neighborhood .
The Committee recommended that proposed Outiot A and Outlot B not
be accep -ed as park dedication from Mr. Bussard . The Committee
recommends that the Planning Commission and Council seek to obtain
approximately two acres of the embackment and high ground bordering
the east side of the ponding area. The Committee agreed that -
- ail the water area from highway 694 to Round Lake be within
the park site.
- the flat open area west of the pond be obtained for future
active play area .
- proposed Bussard dedication be secured for a buffer between
park and neighborhood .
The Committee realizes that the desired area would be more than
the eight acres stated in the comprehensive plan , but the addi -
tional acreage is needed to provide active and pass "ve areas.
The park would serve as a natural buffer between residential and
industriai property.
