Council Report
- Neuman Property on CounTy Road E
• Council has recommended that the two lots on County Road E
not be designated as passibis future park proparty . They
pointed out that zccoss to possible dedicntion land by TCQl
is available through a straot to be developed, Waslay Street..
and felt a five acre park sufficiontly large for the area ,
rather than the OEM acre aray pFaviously requaslad for
eventual purchase by M Park 11spar1 mant .
- 1977 Budget and Prv2rum Directions
Council , in final budget plans, docided that what has been
called "Sell Sustaining Programs" wil ; be expects& to cover
the direct expsnsss incurred , and that 1977 recreation pro-
grams include My those approved by Council . Administrative
costs which had been included in this portion will be
shifted , $2 ,500 to Maral Administr0ion and S2 , 500 added
to Parks budget . This resuits in a cut having To be made in
1977 Parks and Recrcation proposad hudgais U4527and/or
3 0014550) of $ ,920 , ,
Before the next Parks and Recreation Committez mooting,
Bucxley, Crichton and Anderson will review the budget and
bring suggestions for methods To accommodate this decrease .

Approval of Perk Plans
Councilman Crichton roported that the Council , at its October
4 mauling, h0d WrOM the concept pUns for Sampson Park,
Freavay Park, Linday ' s Corner Triangle , Ingerson Park, Charles
Perry Park, Hunters For&, and Valentine Park . They were in
general agreement with the plans for Floral Pa7k and Hazelnut
Park, but felt the arva might be sawwahat under-utilized , and
would like to see plmns that extend possibly to ten years, with
perhaps more activity areas planned , even though they would
not be implamenTed for some timo .
They would like the Fire Burn Open Area re-drawn to show only
land owned by the Villega of Arden Hills, rather than as
present including some Fira Departmant land .
WWI asked that j . Buckley and the Parks and Recreation
Committee re-evaluato the votai park land needs for Area 11
Johanna East, according to prssant activity preforances .
The Council also folt that the present recreational facilities
standard list in the Park Comprehensive Plan should bra• ra--
v Mwed and updated ! I nunessury .
