The meting was called to order at 8 : 15 P .M . by Chairman Ande,--son .

A motion was made by M. Blomquist, seconded by C . Grudnoske, to

• Landscape Students
Ms . Caswell and Ms . Garage gave a resume .-)f their backgrounds and
displayed for the Committee several samples of landscape studies
they have done as studonts at the University . They 1-hen explained
in detall what type of study they would do for the Arden Hills Parks
and Recreal"lon Department at the Flor 'ii Perk site and the Hazel
Nut Patch site . J . McTavish male a motion that Co;iimittee contact
Megan and Karen, and li'r they woiuld be agreoable 1-0 presenting a
soil , vegetation , wild life Inventory of the site, physiographic
character i st 1 cs and wa-i-ocr dra i nage , rssu I I`. ng i n a constra I r4t map,
and,, if furl-her, upon receipt of information from the Committee
regarding facilities desired in the park, they will draw two or
three aiternativel general site plarts of he area ( Floral Park and

activity program .
• Approved seakirg bids for a new truck for the Parks and
Racreation Departme-n-;-.
Approved the recommendation concerning the park betwean
Highway 51 and Snelling .
Sagan considering the Round Lake proposai ,
Regalding the County system of bike trails , they felt that
our -irails should be a link in t1he systain but should not be
limited by this.

J . McTavish reported that 1-he Twin City Christian Homes organiza-
flon h�:s come back with a now plan providing space for a park and
a -�talking trail . It was tabled by the Pianning Commission until
th,;,;. July ist meeting .

R. Anderson suggested tha Committee form a sub-cocain ittee to supple-
meit the 5 year Acquisition Committee report to cover six years .

It was ,-agreed that the 5 year Development Committee have someone

formed to do this. The motion was seconded by M . E-r1ckson and
carried . J . McTavish , M . Blomquist, M . Cronin wero appointed to
this sub-committee by R. Anderson .

G. Beggin reported on the upgradipg of the baseball diamond

N . Mcintosn reported that the School Board has decided to
o1cfer instructional and recreational swimming at Johanna
Jun. ior High Pool , and extendod the Committee 's thanks to the
C.ouncil for their support in accomplishing this.

Yonnis Court Rules
M . Blomquist requested that courtesy rules =or use of the
+ennfs courts be established . J . Buckley Is going to handle
this.

Cojies of the 1975 Propose d Park Devatopment budget were
distributed . The Committee agreed that first priority should
bps given tc Perry Park , with the second being a climbing
structura and sand box, at Freeway Park . The next priority
woi old be a hard surface z,,i- Freeway and picnic tables . Next
priority would be a cargo net .
P . Lindquist moved that Committee ---sk ii-he Councii 1'o approve
thy) revised Freeway Pa-rk plan . Vt . Bioniquist seconded,
• un:3nImously approved . The Freeway piafi has bean amended to
not include parking .
Mt . Eri ---ksor, made a -notion that John Buckley bring to tho
i-ouncit the recommended plan for lower Perry Park for their
a f),p r o va I . M . Blornquist seconded , and it was approved, with
R. Andursor abstaining.

R. Anderson asked for a sub-committee to go over the budget
