J. McTavish presented the Committee with a written report inclu6ing 5 phases
of develoi)rient. and upkeep. The report stated that:
This is the one ar,,.a in Arden Hillu where it will be difficult to
centrally locate a park site Ia the neighborhood. A minimiun of 10
acres should be secured in the only area presently undevej.oped.
The park should border on County Road E for easy access from the
neighborLood South of Cc-unty Road E.
This disagrees with the wording in the Village Approved Comprehensive Park
Plan which states as follows:
This is the one neighborhood where it will be d-ifficult to
centrUly locate a park site. Further study siv3uld be made
of the possibility of acquiring and developing neveral sites
(each of several acres) - one zo the north of County Road E,
one toward the bottom of the triangle east of old Snelling and
one or the edge , f "Arden Hills 3" west of old Snelling.
Connie eration should also be given to improving the present Freeway
Park (moving, the hockey rink to a different park?) so that more
complete utilization is possibly__• '
This park will be discussed further, as far as priority, when the remainder of
Parks in the Village have been discussed.
