The meeting was called to order by Chairman Robert BJorndahl .
Present: Chairman Bjorndahl , Beggin, Boss, Cadwell , Kuehn,
Llndbom, McIntosh and Spratt
Absent: LaNasa and Wallace
Also Present: Council Liaison Ronald Herrick
Minutes of the February meeting were read and approved .
The planned study of the Valentine Park landscape map was post-
poned to the April meeting . Copies of this map will be sent
to Parks and Recreation members prior to the April meeting .
Acquisition of tax forfeited lands and Sampson's property are
St i l IncompIate .
The Josephine Hills Garden Club Is at present preparing their
questionnaire for distribution .
Mir. Herrick reported that Banister Engineering Company will
begin surveying Perry property when the snow cover Is gone.
Mir. Beggin was authorized to obtain prices from several firms
•for six (6) picnlc tables .
Philipa Lindquist directed a suggestion to this Committee con-
cerning tho preservatio�in of natural resources in our Village
parks . Local biologists or ecologists might agree to conduct
this type of a study. Mr. Beggin will discuss these ideas
with Mr. Gilbertson, the Science Department Head at irondals
High School . It was also :suggested that we send letters and
maps to area schools to encourage the use of parks for field
:•r I ps and •he study of ecology .
Ramona Lindbom will represent Arden Hills at the SPARC Infor-
mational meeting in April .
Council Representative Herrick attended the County Board meeting
-�o express Arden Hills ' Interest in being a possible site for
an ice rink in t,ie north area .
?Information concerning Little Lakes Little League was presented.

the Council that we continue our financial aid to this program.

Mr. Beggin reported that in-i•ormation and registration forms
for the Minnesota Junior Soccer Association, Inc. are now
available in schools and at the Village Hall .
Work on the new Shoreview Y .M.C.A . will begin in April .
