Parks and Recreation Committee
Tuesday - July 15, 1969
Present: Boss , Cadweli , Kuehn , LaNasa, McIntosh , Spratt
Absent: Engle, Fish , Lindbom
Also Present: Council Liaison Bjorndahl , The Civic Center Com-
mittee; Dr. Woodburn , Mr. Henderson, and Mr. Lund
Mr. Jacobson ' s price estimates for Ingerson Park development maps
were presented by Mayor Bjorndahl . Total maps cost $580 .00 with
the concept map costing $45 .00 . It was agreed by a voice vote to
request Mr. Jacobson to provide this Committee with a concept map
for Ingerson Park . After a study of the concept map the Committee
will decide if the other maps are to be used . It was also decided
to request an estimate price for a topographic survey for the site
development at Perry Park. .
A Boy Scout project to place trash barrels on the Pedestrian Trail
was discussed . This Committee felt more details were necessary
before approval could be given . Mr. Boss will check into this
further.
The Civic Center Committee and the Parks and Recreation Committee
discussed ideas concerning the development of the new civic center
property and the adjoining Floral Park area . By voice vote this
committee agreed to ask Dr. Woodburn to recommend a landscape arch-
itect to be presented to the group . The two Committees support the
idea of developing a concept for the total area .
The next meeting will be at 8 :00 p .m. , August 19 , at the home of
Ken Boss , 1315 Red Fox Road , 533-2288.
