AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13,
OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE ALLOWING
ACCESSORY COMMERCIAL RECREATIONAL USES INCLUDING
HORSESHOES, BOCCE BALL OR CORNHOLE IN THE B-2 DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on April 24, 2023, Ordinance No. 2023-004 was
adopted by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, because of the lengthy nature of Ordinance No.
2023-004, the following summary of the ordinance has been prepared for publication.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the ordinance adopted by the City Council
amends or adds the following:
• Section 1305 is updated by adding a definition for Commercial recreation, outdoor.
• Section 1320, subsection 1320.05 updates and replaces the Land Use Chart by
adding Commercial recreation, outdoor as an allowed Accessory Use in the B-2
District.
• Section 1325.02 is amended by adding a new Subdivision 5, Accessory Commercial
Recreation — Outdoor. This subdivision allows outdoor commercial recreation in a
B-2 General Business District and specifies the requirements needed to obtain an
Administrative Permit to allow the outdoor recreational activities.
A printed copy of the whole ordinance is available for inspection by any person during the
City's regular office hours at the City of Arden Hills, 1245 West Highway 96, Arden Hills, MN
55112. The Ordinance is also available on the City's website at http://www.cityofardenhills.com.
