RESOLUTION NO. 00-48
RESOLUTION REVISING SANITARY SEWER UTILITY RATES
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2001
WHEREAS, the City Council established a policy to review sanitary sewer rates on an annual
basis; and
WHEREAS, the City Council last took action on its sanitary sewer utility rates for 2000; and
WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed historical consumption data that reflects average senior rate
customer consumption at approximately two-thirds that of residential customers; and
WHEREAS, City statThas reviewed the utility cost structure and has recommended that the
Arden Hills City Council decrease sewer utility rates except for a three-year rate increase phase-
in of the senior quarterly flat charge; and
WHEREAS, this review has determined that the rate increase is necessary to enable the utility to
. remain self-supporting.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills,
Minnesota that effective January 1, 2001, sanitary sewer utility rates be revised as follows:
