Extract of Minut.es of Meeting of t.he
Village Council of the villaqe of Arden Bills
Ramsey County, Minnesota
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the Village Council of the Village of Arden Bills, Minnesot.a was
duly held at t.he Villaqe Ball in said villaqe on Monday, the l4t.h
day of August, 1972, at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
The following members were present: Mayor Crepeau and
Councilmen 01men, Bollenhorst, Henderson, and Herrick, and the
followinq were absent: None
Councilman Bollenhorst introduced the fol1owinq resolution
and moved its adoption:

RESOLUTION APPROVING ENGINEERS PRELIM-
INARY REPORT AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC
HEARING ON LA1(E LANE STREET IMPROVEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Villaqe of Arden Bills
as follows:
1. The Council has directed Banister, Short, Elliott,
Hendrickson & Associates to prepare a preliminary report as t.o
the feasibility of a proposed improvement consisting of
qradinq, qravel base construction, bitU11linous surfacinq, storm
drainage and necessary appurtenances in the area of Lake Lane
south of Edgewater Avenue. Banister, Short, Elliott, Hendrick-
son & Associat.es was also directed to include in the report
the est.imated cost of the proposed improvement and as to whether such
improvement should best be made as proposed or in connection with
SOllIe other improvement. The preliminary report and cost estimate
have been submit.ted by the eQgineers and considered by the Council
and are hereby approved and directed to be placed on file in the

office of the Village clerk AdM!n!str~tor. The improvement proposed
to be made in the genetd mawlltt s~t forth 1Ji t.he report i$ desig-
nated as Lake Lane Street :bnpt:bvelllent.
2. The Council shall meet at the Village Hall, 1450 West
Hiqhway 96, in said village, on September 11, 1972, at 8:00 o'clock
p.m., for the purpose of holding a public hearinq on the proposed
improvement under and pursuant. to the provisions of Minnesota
Statutes, Chapter 429, and the Clerk Administrator is hereby
aut.horized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and pur-
pose of that meeting to be published twice in the official newspaper,
New Briqhton Bulletin, which publications shall be a week apart, and
the second publication shall be not less than three days before the
date of the hearing.
3. The notice shall be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE OF HEARING
ON LAI<E LANE STREET IMPROVEMENT
VILLAGE OF ARDEN BILLS, MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Village of
Arden Hills, Minnesota, will meet at the Village Hall, 1450 West
Highway 96, in said village, on the 11th day of September, 1972, at
8:00 o'clock p.m., to hold a public hearing pursuant to Minnesot.a
Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, on proposed Lake Lane Street
Improvement. consisting of grading, gravel base construction,
bituminous surfacinq, storm drainage and necessary appurtenances
in the area of Lake Lane south of Edgewater Avenue. The foregoinq
is all substantially in accordance with a preliminary engineering
report which is now on file and open to public inspection in the
office of the Village Clerk-Administ.rator.
The cost of the improvement is presently estimated at approx-
imately $3,000.00. The area proposed to be assessed for the
improvement shall be t.he following:
Lots 1 throuqh 4, Block 3 and Lots 5
through 8, Block 4, Lake Josephine Villas,
Section 34, Town 30 North, Range 23 West.
All persons desiring to be heard with reference to the
improvement and the area proposed to be assessed therefor may
appear and be heard by the Village Council at. the time and place
stated above.

4. The general nature, estimated cost and area proposed to be
assessed for Lake Lane Street Improvement are determined to be as
stated in the foreqoing notice, as fully as though the same were
separately set fort.h and resolved herein.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Councilman Olmen and upon vot.e being t.aken
thereon, the followinq voted in favor thereof: All
and the following voted against the same: None
whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

I, the undersiqned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk-
Administrator of the Villaqe of Arden Bills, Minnesota, do hereby
certify that I have carefully compared the at.tached and foreqoing
extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of
said Village held on the 14th day of AuC]Ust, 1972, with the original
thereof on file in my office, and the same is a full, true and
complete transcript insofar as the same relates to Lake Lane Street
Improvement of said village.
