RESOLUTION NO, 71-52
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE
JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT AS IT RELATES TO
COMMUNITY ONE, INC. PROPOSED YOUTH CENTER
WHEREAS, the Village of Arden Hi lis pursuant to Resolution
No. 71-33 declared its Intention to help provide for teenage
residents of District No. 621, and
WHEREAS, a group of citizens known as Community One, Inc.
has encouraged and promoted the establishment of a center for
social, cultural and recreational activities of young residents
of Independent School District No. 621, which center wll I be
known as a Teen Center and wi II be operated by the Youth Services
Bureau, and
WHEREAS, the use of I and and bull dings for such Teen Center
has been provided by Independent School District No. 621, and
WHEREAS, the Youth Services Bureau has obtained sufficient
financial support to operate such Teen Center except for the cost
of h I r I n g a f u I I - time dire cto r, and
WHEREAS, the parties to this agreement desire to provide the
funds necessary to hire a full-time director for such Teen Center,
and to establish terms and conditions to Implement such desire,
and
WHEREAS, the proposed contribution by the Village of Arden Hills
amounts to $1,200.00, and

WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Arden Hi lis after
reviewing the proposed Joint Power Agreement concur with Its
contents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Councl I of the Village
of Arden Hi I Is that the Mayor be authorized and Is hereby ordered
and directed to execute the attached Joint Powers Agreement by
and for the V I I I age 0 fAr den H i I Is. and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That $600.00 be remitted to Community
One, Inc. on the effective date of this agreement with the remaining
$600.00 six months after the effective date of this agreement and
the Clerk Administrator Is hereby ordered to effect the above stated
contributions.
