RESOLUTION NO. 71-25
RESOLUTIONRE ARDEN HILLS-NEW BRIGHTON
ANNEXATION-DETACHMENT: RELIEVING
ANNEXED AREA OF BONDED INDEBTEDNESS,
AUTHORIZING TRANSMITTAL OF ASSESSMENTS
ON ANNEXED PORTION, AND CORRECTING A
. DESCRIPTION
WHEREAS, the Council of Arden Hills, by Resolution
dated November 30, 1970, petitioned the Minnesota Municipal
Commission, in accordance with law, for the detachment of
certain property in Arden Hills and the annexation of certain
property in New Brighton, said parcels being described in
detail in said Resolution, with abbreviated descriptions
being as follows:
Area to be detached:
All that part of the SW1/4, Section 16,
T 30, R 23, lying westerly of the center-
line of 35W; All that part of the NW 1/4
Section 21, T 30, R 23, lying Westerly of
the centerline of T.H. 35W
Area to be annexed:
All that part of the South 1/2 of Section
21, T 30, R 23, lying Easterly of the
centerline of T.H. 35W, not already within
the corporate limits of Arden Hills, and
WHEREAS, by orders of the Minnesota Municipal commission
dated March 23, 1971, the petition of Arden Hills for
detachment and annexation in accordance with the foregoing was
approved and the concurrent petition of the Village of New
Brighton for annexation of the above detachment property was
also approved, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire and intention of the Arden
Hills Council that the aforesaid property detached from the
Village of Arden Hills and now annexed to the village of New
Brighton be relieved of any share of the bonded indebtedness
of the Village of Arden Hills which it might otherwise bear,
to the end that it could be subjected to its proportionate share
of the bonded indebtedness in the Village of New Brighton,

NOW THEREFORE, BElT RESOLVED, that the aforesaid
parcel detached from the Village of Arden Hills is declared
to be free and clear of any bonded indebtedness levied thereon
or placed upon it by the Village of Arden Hills.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ramsey County Auditor is
authorized to transmit directly to the Village of New Brighton
assessments heretofore levied on the aforesaid property aad
now annexed to the Village of Arden Hills, but said authority
to transmit shall now <Lpply to any assessments hereafter levied
upon said property by the Village of Arden Hills.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a typographical error occurred
in the description of the parcel described in the aforesaid
Arden Hills Resolution of November 30, 1970, describing property
to be detached from Arden Hills, said error occurring in the
fourth parcel on page 3 of said Resolution, and the corrected
description thereof should be as follows:
Unplatted lands/the North 107.21 feet of the
West 406.3 feet of the North 30 acres of the
South 80 acres of the NW 1/4 of Sec. 21,
Town 30, Range 23. (eorrection as underlined)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk-AdlJlaon-
istrator are hereby authorized and directed to cause certified
copies of this Resolution to be forwarded to the Ramsey County
Auditor and to such other offices as may be deemed necessary
~orthe purpose of carrying out the provisions hereof.

and acting Clerk-Administrator of the Village of Arden
Hills; that attached hereto is a true and correct copy of
a Resolution dated June /1
, 1971, which Resolution
was duly passed by the Council of the Village of Arden Hills
on said date and is included within the minutes of said
meeting; that this Certificate is made pursuant to the
direction of the Council of Arden Hills.
