RESOLUTION NO. 71-14
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
PROCEDURE FOR NUMBERING
AND RECORD.ING RESOLUTIONS
WHEREAS, the Council considers it desirable to provide
for the numbering and separate filing of certain formal ac-
tions of the Council designated as Resolutions,
NOW .THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
(1) The Clerk-Administrator is authorized and
directed to establish and maintain a sepa-
rate numbering and filing system for actions
designated by the Council as Resolutions,
which system shall be retroactive to January
1, 1971, with numbering to be divided by
years in the style such as "71-1," etc.
(2) "Resolutions" to be included in such filings
shall be Council actions distinguished from
ordinances or routine motions, typically actions
which are designated by the Council as Resolutions.
The Clerk-Administrator shall review the 1971
Council minutes to-date and designate Resolutions
for this year, and thereafter such actions shall
be designated by the Council in the minutes.
(3) Hereafter it shall not be necessary to include
the Resolutions as identified herein in the
minutes of the Council, but reference to the
Resolution shall be by the number of the Resolution
and a separate record of such Resolutions shall be
maintained by the Clerk-Administrator as a part of
the Village records.
