Extract of Minutes of Heeting
of City Council
City of Arden Hills
Ramsey County, Minnesota
JUly 31, 1978
A regular meeting of the Council of the City of Arden Hills,
Minnesota, was held in the City Hall on JUly 31, 1978,at 7:30
o'clock p.m.
The following members were present: Mayor Crepeau and
Councilmen Crichton, Hanson, Wingert and Woodburn~ and the fol-
lowing were absent: None.
The City Clerk Administrator presented to the Council the
proposed assessment roll for Improvement No. SS-W-P-77-l pre-
pared by her with the assistance of the Ci ty consulting engineer
as directed by the Council on July 17, 1978, and reported that
the assessment roll is now on file in her office and open to
. public inspection.
Councilman Wingert then introduced the following ~solution
and moved i tsadoption:

RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
FOR IMPROVE~m:NT NO. SS-W-P-77-l
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Arden Hills
that the proposed assessment roll for Improvement No. SS-W-P-77-l
now on file and open to public inspection in the office of the
City Clerk Administrator, is approved, and the Clerk Adminis-
trator is directed to publish and mail notice that the Council
will meet to consider the proposed assessment on August 28, 1978,
at the City Hall, 1450 West Highway 96, in the City of Arden
Hills, at 7: 30 o' clocl~ p. m. The notice shall state the date,
time and place of the meeting, the general nature of said
improvement, the area proposed to be assessed, the total cost
of the improvement, that the proposed assessment roll is on file

with the Clerk Administrator, and that written or oral objec-
tions thereto by any property owner will be considered. It shall
be published once in the official newspaper of the City at least
two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall be mailed to the owner
of each parcel described in the assessment roll, not less than
two weeks prior to the date of said meeting. For the purpose
of such mailed notice, owners of said parcels shall be those
shown as such on the records of the County Treasurer. Every
property owner whose name does not appear on such records
(other than owners of property which is tax exempt or is taxed
on a gross earnings basis) shall be deemed to have waived such
mailed notice unless he has requested in writing that the County
'l'reasruer include his name on the records for this purpose.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Councilman Hanson, and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All; and the
following voted against the same: None~ whereupon the resolution
was declared duly passed and adopted.
