of City Council
Ci ty of Arden Hills
Ramsey County, Minnesota
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting
of the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, was
duly held in the City Hall, l450 West Highway 96, in said City
on Monday, the l7th day of July, 1978, at 7:30 o'c10ck p.m.
The following members were present: ~1ayor crepeau and
COuncilmen Crichton, t'Tingert, ~'700dburn and Hanson~ and the
following were absent: None.
Councilman Hanson introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:

DECLARING COS'l' TO BE ASSESSED AND
ORDERING PREPARA'l'ION OF PROPOSED ASSEssrmNT

NBEREAS, contracts have been let for Improvement No.
W-P-SS-76-l of the City of Arden Hills consisting of the in-
stallation of sanitary sewer and watermain, bituminous sur-
facing, concrete curb and gutter, and drainage facilities and
necessary appurtenances generally north and east of Karth
Lake to the city limits, and all undeveloped land around Karth
Lake in the Northeast Quarter of Section 22, Town 30, Range
23, and the contract price for such improvement is $630,700.00
and the other expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making
of said improvement amount to $147, 143.75 so that the total
cost of the improvement will be $777,843.75 and of this cost
the city will pay $ 0 as its share of the cost.
NOtIf, 'l'HEREFOltE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, as follows:
l. The cost of such improvexnent to be specially assessed
is hereby declared to be $777,843.75
2. The City Clerk Administrator, together with the
assistance of the City consulting engineer and fiscal con-
sultant, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be

specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable
lot, piece or parcel af land within the distriot affected,
without. regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and she
shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in her office
for public inspection. The City Clerk Administrator may
arrange for the assistance of Data Processing of the County
of Ramsey in the preparation of the proposed assessment roll.
3. The City Clerk Administrator shall, upon completion
of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof for
its further action and for its setting of an assessment hearing
therefor.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution
was duly seconded by Councilman Wingert, and upon vote being
taken thereon, the fOllowing voted in favor thereof: All; and
the following voted against the samet None; whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
