Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting

of the city Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, was
duly held in the City Hall, l450 West Highway 96, in said City
on Monday the lOth day of
July
, 1978, at 7:30 o'clock
p.m.
The following members were present: Crepeau, Crichton, Hanson
Woodburn
and the following were absent: Wingert
Councilman Woodburn
introduced the following reso-
lution and moved its adoption:

RESOLUTION RELATING TO IMPROVEMENT
NO. P-77-4
DECLARING COS'!' '1'0 BE ASSESSED AND
ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS, contracts have been let for Improvement No. P-77-4
for the City of Arden H;Uls consisting of the construction of
bituminous surfacing of a 44 foot roadway, concrete curb and
gutter, necessary drainage, right-of-way acquisition, and neces-
sary appurtenances generally in the area bounded by Lexington
Avenue on the east, Snelling Avenue on the west, County Road E
on the north, and 1400 feet south of County ROad E on the south,
and
WHEREAS, the foregoing is in the area described in the
legal notice relating to the ariginal hearing on the improve-
ment and the resolution relating thereto, and the contract price
for such improvement is $ 100 700 ooand the other expenses

incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement
amount to $ 25,910.00 so that the total cost of the improvement
will be $129 110.00, and of this cost the City will pay $25.8".00
as its share of the cost.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City council of the
City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, as follows:

l. '1'he cost to be specially assessed is hereby declared
to be $ 103,288.00 .
2. '1'he City Clerk Administrator, together with the assist-
ance of the City COnsulting Engineer, shall fOrthwith calculate
the proper amount to be specially assessed for such work against
every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district
affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law.
and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in hi.
office for public inspection. The City Clerk Administrator may
arrange for the assistance of the Data Processing Division of
the County of Ramsey in the preparation of the proposed assess-
ment roll.
3. The City Clerk Administrator shall, upon completion of
such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof for their
further action and fOr their setting of an assessment hearing
therefor.
The motion for the adoption of the fOregoinq resolution
was duly seconded by Councilman (',.1 rh+nn
and upon vote
being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofz a II
and the following voted against the same: none
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
