RESOLUTION NO. 80-60
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHiNG FEES FOR
ELECTRICAL PERMITS
WHEREAS, Section 6-9i of the CIty Code provides that
fees for electrical permits be established -by resolution adopted
by the City Councl I, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 78-61 established electrical
permit fees affective October IS, 1978, and
WHEREAS, the Finance CommIttee, after careful study,
has recommended changes In the present fee schedule.

NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED. that effectIve January i.
1981. the permit fees sha~1 be as follows:

tures and equipment. The maximum fee provides for

units and $20.00 per dwelling unit for ,the balance

In addl.tlon to tha above fees, I'll ~ transformers
and generators for lIght, heat and power shaijl
be computed separately at $4.00 per unit pius 20~
per KVA up to and Includlng-rDO KVA. 10! KVA --
and over at i5~ per KVA. The maximum fee for
any transformer or generator In this category
is $40.00.
In addition to the above fees, all transformers
for signs and outline ~Ightlng shall be computed
at $3.00 for the first 500 VA or fractIon thereof
per unit, plus 30e for each additional 100 VA
or traction thereof.
In addition to the above fees (unless Included

'For the review of plans and. specIfications of pro-
posed Installations, there shall be a minimum fee

$30,000 to be paid by parsons or firms requesting
the revIew.
When re-Inspectlon Is necessary to determine whether
unsafe conditions have been corrected and such
conditions are noisubject of an appeal pending
before any court, a re-Inspectlon fee of $~ may
be assessed In writing by the Inspector.
For Inspections not covered hareln, or for requested
spectaR Inspectlon~ or services, the fee shall be
$14.00 par man hour, Including travel time, plus i6~
per mile traveled, pius the reasonab~e cost of eqUfp-
ment or material consumed. This section Is also appll~
cable In InspectIon of empty conduits and such Jobs
as,detarmlned by the cIty.
For Inspection of transient projects !nciudlng but
riot limited to carnlvaDs and ~Ircuses the Inspection

Power supply units accordIng to Item Cbl of the Fee
Schedule., A like fae will be required on power suppDy
units at each engagement during the season, except
that a fee of $14.00 per hour will be charged for
addltlonal,tlme spent by i"he Inspector, If i-he powsr

date specified on the request for Inspection as re-
quired by law.
