RESOLUTION NO. 80-23
REQUESTI~G THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL HRA'TO APPLY FOR
REHABILUATION GRANT FUNDS FOR tHE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills desires to assist
low income homeowners in making repairs to their homes for
the purpose~: of correcting defects affecting directly the
safety, haML:f:abi1i ty, energy I\Isage, or accessibility of the
property; and,
~~EREAS, tbe Minnesota Housing Finance Agency bas
funds to be: used for such p.urposes, and will accept applications
from bousi~g and redevelopment authorities desiring to administer
these Home Improvement Grant ,Program funds; and,
WHEREAS. tbe Me tropoli tan Council has been duly organized
pursuant to Minnesota statutes 1976, Section 473.123 and has
all of the powers and duties of a.housing and redevelopment
authority pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 1976, 473.193 under the
provisions of the Municipal Housing and Redevelopment Act,
Minnesota Statutes 1976, Sections 462.411 to 462.711;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Metropoliban
Council is ~ereby requested to include the City of Arden Hills
in an application for state Home Improvement Grant Program funds,
and that up'on approval of such application, the City and the
Metropo1ita~ Council will enter into an agreement for operating
the programiwithin the City.
