RESOLUTiON NO. 79-13
RESOLUTiON ESTABLISHING SUBSIDY CRITERIA
FOR DiSEASED TREE
REMOVAL ON HOMESTEADED PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the d I sease of shade trees I n Arden H I II sl s
of serious concern to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City requires each landowner to treat or
remove trees designated as diseased by the City Tree Inspector;
and
WHEREAS, the City provides an optional tree removal ser-
vice to be paid for by the landowner; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Statutes permit the City
to provide subsidies for the approved treatment or removal of
diseased shade trees under certain conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE ~T HEREBY RESOLVED. that when the
owner of a lega!ly homesteaded, platted lot of less than twenty
(20) acres elects to use the City-provided tree removal service
for designated diseased trees, the City shall pay all such costs
for the calendar year service in excess of 8 prescribed base
figure; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the prescribed base fl gure
for a lot of five (S) acres or less shal I be $110.00, from five
(5) to ten (10) acres shail be $220.00, from ten (10) to fifteen
(15) acres sha II be $330.00, and from fl Heen (! 5) to t~ienty ,(ZO)
acres shall be $440.00.
