RESOLUTION NO. 81-72
RESOLUTION INITIATING VACATION OF CERTAIN ROADS IN
SHADY OAKS ADDITION AND AUTHORIZING CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR TO
PUBLISH AND POST NOTICES OF PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, Section 412.851 of Minnesota Statutes, as
amended, permits a municipal council to initiate a proceeding to
vacate any street, alley, public grounds, public way, or any part
thereof, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arden Hills
desires to determine whether it would be in the public interest
to vacate certain roads in the plat of Shady Oaks Addition,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Arden Hills, a quorum thereof being present, a
proceeding pursuant to Section 412.851 of Minnesota Statutes, as
amended, be and it hereby is initiated in order to determine
whether it would be in the public interest to vacate certain
roads in the plat of Shady Oaks Addition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk-Administrator
and the City Engineer be and they hereby are authorized to cause
a notice of public hearing to determine the public interest in
said vacation to be published in the New Brighton Bulletin and to
be posted in at least three (3) of the most public places in the
City, for at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of said public
hearing, all in accordance with the provisions of Section 412.851
of Minnesota Statutes, as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk-Administrator be
and she hereby is authorized and directed to cause certified
copies of this Resolution to be served upon those owners of
properties abutting the roads to be vacated.
