Engineer Lund was requested to furnish Attorney Courtney wIth a list of probable causes of Increased flow through this drainage dItch. Attorney Courtney was requested to Inform the State and County of EngIneer Lund's findings, and to seek assistance from. them In solving this drainage problem. SpecifIcations for TelemeterlnQ System Attorney Courtney stated that he had reviewed the specIfications and found them to be In proper legal form. Sanitary Sewer #4 Assessments on Charles Perry Park Trustee Crepeau moved adoptlonot the Resolution Relatl.ng to appor- . tlonmen"t of assessments RelatIng to Sanitary Sewer No.. 4 as attached; seconded by Trustee Oimen; motion carried. Trustee Crepeau mOiled abatement 0.1 that portion of the assessment attributable to the Charles Perry Park as per attached resolution; seconded by Trustee Olmen; motion carried. REPORT OF TRUSTEE HOFFMANN Proposed Razonlnq 'or Phillips station at 35W and County Road E2 Trustee Hoffmann reported that the Planning Commission had voted 3 to I ( I abstaining) against rezoning this parcel. Trustee Hoffmann reviewed the reasons for the Planning Commission's recommendation as outlined In 'rhel r r.Hnu'\'es of October 4, 1966. Meyor Nethercut re- ported that f.lr. Eastlund had requested a two-week delay In Council action to enable PhillIps to attempt more e~tenslve site planning. r~r, Hoffmann stated that the site plan was not a 'actor In Planning Commission's recommendation for denial of the rezoning. It was ascertained that Council members had reviewed the Planning Commission Minutes, Carl Dare's report, and had IIleued the site 11'1 Question. Librarv and Civic Center Site Trustee Hoffmann stated that the Planning Commission recommol'lds that .. Trustee Olmen Informed the Council that he had been contacted by several people offerIng theIr dogs to the Police Department. Tru5~-ee Crepeau stated that the Publl.c Safety CommIttee sIncerely apprecla-~ed the offers, but trainIng 0' the dogs was a hIghly specialized procedure for which the Village was not equIpped. Trustee Hoffmann suggested that sInce thra Federal Government was currently solIcItIng offers for dogs to be traIned for military service, perhaps these potentIal donors could be referred to the armed forces.. Clerk Stromquist was requested to thank the League for the In- vitation; Council members regret they will be unable to attend due to a conflict with a scheduled Village meetIng. Metropolitan Transit Commission Minutes Mayor Nethercut reported that he receIves a copy of the Metropolitan ... Transit Commission minutes and wIll share these wIth CouncIl members. REPORT OF ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK STROMQUIST Audit Trustee Olmen moved that the George M. Hansen Company be hired to per- fo.m the 1966 audit oi Village books, Including a balance sheat; seconded by Trustee Hoifmann; carried. Beautification of Ingerson Road end InAersoo Court Clerk Stromquist reported that the County Engineer's office approved the proposed plantlngs In the area. However, plsntlngs should not obstruct vision nor should perennials be planted where they mIght be damaged by snO~J storage. Administrative Clerk Stromquls~ was requested to Inform the Josephine Hills Garden Club on thIs matter. Valeiltlne Parll Administrative Clsrk Stromquist stated that heavy construction equlpmen~ ~as traversing the besnball area to gain access to construction In progress on abutting property.
